Description

Casting mold for metal casting with an inner diameter of

176mm x 130mm and a mold height of 40mm.

The holes can be drilled using the drill plate provided (I planned the hole to be 4mm and used M4 screws with nuts). This can then also be used as a base plate for cast models.

The other openings are planned in 3mm and serve as a template for M4 threaded holes (so that the closed molds can be used as attachments).

ATTENTION: Due to shrinkage, the diameter changes depending on the metal used for casting.

Nevertheless, use the base plate for drilling so that you can use it again later.

For the drill holes, I recommend using the base plate (match plate) for one half and then drilling through the second half using the first half of the mold.

The design of the mold allows them to be stacked on top of each other to increase the size of the mold, in which case we recommend drilling another hole in each case!

I recommend a resolution and layer height of 0.1 mm to simplify reworking.

The model is normally smooth enough for casting with 2-3 layers of varnish.

The enclosed closed mold allows the casting flask to be extended in height.

This can also be used separately as a small casting mold.

DIMENSION: 200x173x40mm

Please use an investment casting sand for this casting, but it is still recommended to rework the groove a little, e.g. with a fine drill grinder (Dremel)

ATTENTION METAL CASTING as a HOBBY:

Please note that casting metals of all kinds involves risks to life and limb.

Always ensure that work paths and work surfaces are clear and wear the appropriate protective equipment (heat shield, goggles, gloves, aprons, protective masks, etc.).

Always work in well-ventilated or open spaces!

No liability is accepted for improper handling!

If you are a professional, I assume that the necessary safety measures will be taken anyway.
