Description
Arminius (Latin: Arminius, German: Hermann) was the leader of the Germanic tribe of the Cherusci, who remained in history for the crushing of the Roman legions at the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9 AD.
His victory is considered one of the most important turning points in world history, as it put a definitive end to Roman expansion east of the Rhine.
