Automaton Flame Raiders (Helldivers 2)

Flame Raiders are a specialized shock infantry designed for clearing fortifications and instilling terror in the enemy. They are equipped with man-portable flamethrowers, and distinguished by the all-black lining on their frames and faceplates.

Their flamethrowers fire a highly viscous gelled fuel kept in pressurized all-in-one cannisters affixed to their backs. When projected from the gun assembly, the combined fuel-nitrogen mixture gives the weapon a much greater range than standard liquid fuels, and allows the substance to stick to surfaces. Due to lack of aeration, the gelled fuel burns for considerably longer, allowing small-scale area denial in some situations.

Notably, their flamethrowers accept the same fuel cannisters seen on the Hulk Scorcher and Flame Devastator. This is likely done for easy modularity and simplification of logistics.

They can be deployed in squads of three to five, or individually attached to larger Raider formations.
