I first uploaded this to Printables and am spreading the model around to different model repositories. This listing is for anyone who wants to tip me for the design if they found it useful.
I bought a baby/safety gate from a consignment sale for my basement stairwell and it didn't come with the mounting cups. Even if it did, I wouldn't have felt satisfied with a single screw mount to affix to a wall with an injection molded cup that barely seats the friction foot.
The bracket gives a more rigid mounting brace for those babies and toddlers that like to grab hold of a gate and rage against the bars as if they were wrongfully detained from the danger beyond. the bracket surrounds the gate foot and the bolt it is attached to.
This is a variant of my original baby gate bracket. Instead of a through-slot, the bracket has a saddle that a gate can be dropped into a specified height. This is meant to make dropping in the gate a little more repeatable and give a little more structure to the bracket.
The original design can be found here: https://www.printables.com/model/1301839-baby-gate-bracket
The brackets have countersinks for #12 screws. The slot for the screw post is 16mm wide. The slot for the post foot is 45mm long, 8.6mm wide. the saddle is 35mm down from the top of the bracket.
To maximize strength for typical loading conditions, print more than 2 walls/perimeters. Print with the slot vertical in the Z axis as seen in the picture.
