Description
I’ve actually never made a St. Patrick’s–related model before, but someone suggested this idea and I thought it could be cool for people who celebrate it 🙂
So here he is - Bad Leprechaun!
I always strive to design my models as multipart builds, but making this one completely multipart didn’t go well for me this time.
To print it in multicolor, you’ll need a multi-color printer.
There are two pre-colored 3MF files for the Leprechaun:
One fully colored version
One partial version (which saves some filament on the black eyes and buttons)
There is also a separate pre-colored 3MF file for the hat.
Printing:
You’ll need supports for the Leprechaun, the clover, and the hat - organic/tree supports are recommended.
A fully colored Leprechaun generates a fair amount of waste. If you're already printing in full multicolor, I recommend printing 2–3 at once - the additional filament cost per extra model is relatively small and worth it.
The hat sits on the head but isn’t shake-resistant. If you want it to be permanent, use a small amount of glue.
Partial 3MF Version:
The eyes and buttons need to be press-fitted tightly.
If you experience fitting issues, try scaling the model down by 2–3%.
