Hello my dear friends!
A new birdhouse model is now available! The hobbit house!
With a beautiful wood texture and fuzzy skin on the grassy parts, it has a little magical look, very typical of these little houses.
The project is relatively simple and within everyone's reach, as long as you follow the instructions and take your time.
As for the "wood", I put a lot of effort into making the wood texture easily printable for everyone. You should have no problem coming out with nice pieces with a nice finish.
For mine, I printed the "wood" pieces on a textured bed, but I wonder if that was a good choice. If anyone does it on a smooth bed, I would love to see the results! :)
Now, the really important info:
TWO MODELS ARE AVAILABLE!
-A classic birdhouse like my other models, complete with all
the parts and the instructions you need to built it as shown on
the first picture.
-A version, compatible with a Blink Camera ***(Available
on Patreon only)***
AS ALWAYS:
- All parts are placed in the right orientation for printing
- All parts are 100% support free
- The project is 100% printable on any type of 3d printer and it
is also compatible in dimensions with a "mini" printer like the
A1 Mini or the Prusa Mini.
- Some parts were printed with fuzzy skin. It is mentioned in
the file name, and the plates in the Bambu Lab project already
have the fuzzy skin set by object.
-Other parts require color changes. This can be done on any
kind of printer. If you are not familiar with color changes, just
let me know and I will guide you a bit. The color names are
specified in the file name as well.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT POINT:
Some parts (like the house body) are named "light yellow" which was my original color choice. But i didnt get good results with my light yellow, probably because of moisture, so i printed mine in a light beige instead. Just to avoid confusion.
NOTE ON COLOR CHANGES FOR BAMBU LAB USERS:
-In the project file, the color changes are already applied BUT BY LAYERS and not painted. You have to slice the plate to see the color changes applicable in the preview.
HARDWARE REQUIRED:
You will need (9x) M4x12mm screws.
8-32 x 1/2 also works or any other screw of similar diameter. For my part, I prefer the M4x12mm self-tapping type screws which offer a little more bite in the plastic. A bit like this one:

I think I've covered everything that needs to be said. If I've forgotten something, just let me know and I'll make the necessary corrections.
Have fun friends!!! Happy printing!
