Description
The Borchardt C-93 – the first successful semi-automatic pistol that changed the future of handgun design. A true milestone in mechanical history, where precision engineering meets raw innovation.
update:
"It seems that in some orientations, the section of the grip that has a single-wall thickness may fail during printing. I printed it myself without any issues, but at a customer’s request I added an extra object called “reinforced frame – rear side of the grip”, which increases that area’s thickness to a two-wall loop to help prevent print failures."
Notes:
The assembly of this model follows steps similar to the World of Guns series, and you can watch their videos on YouTube. One difference is the magazine release: in the game, it enters from the left side of the frame, but in this model, it enters from the right. This is actually one of the mistakes I noticed in World of Guns.
Another point is the extractor, which in the game sits very simply in the groove and can easily fall out. After some research, I found that in reality, the piece extends under the breach block and center toggle pin, locking it in place. I recommend not placing any supports there and definitely excluding that area, because I forgot and had to remove the supports with a rotary tool.
I have also included the leather holster pattern in the ZIP file. Please scale it to 30 cm as shown in the reference image, and before cutting the leather, test‑fit it around the printed model if you plan to make the leather holster as well. I haven`t made it yet for myself.
For the main spring housing and the main spring, I designed two hook-like parts so a rubber band could be added to provide some tension. However, after testing, the result wasn’t very good and the rubber band didn’t have enough power to work properly. I decided not to remove this feature anyway.
Installing the main spring into the toggle link is a bit difficult when using the rubber band. If I manage to improve this in a future update, I will notify everyone who purchased the model.
