The Probes operate as a servile swarm commanded by a subsect of the Augmetica Mortalic's honored Ferrumandrakes.
The Ferrumandrakes are brokers of Nyx's vast trade channels, who oversee and control the flow of knowledge through the deep net metal-gilded
root pathways of the homeworld.

The unassuming Coleoptic Probes are the eyes and ears of those most powerful. In small numbers they serve as spies, personal assistants, or data storage units, able to relay messages across vast distances.

In larger numbers- they may serve as explorer swarms. Able to scan and collect data from newly discovered worlds, relaying any new discovery to the Ferrumandrake overseers.

The Ferrumandrakes have also been called-upon in conflict, proving themselves a valuable asset to any campaign.
Vast numbers of Coleoptic Probes can be summoned, forming terrifying Swarm-storms that block out nation-sized areas of a world's sky, blocking
all communications. Through their gathered power, the Coleoptic Probes are able to channel and direct Lightning as a weapon, able to strike down even the largest foes faced by the Nerubic.

The humble probes may not hold individuality, but their vast network acts almost like a living gestalt mind. Weather it has plans of its own
remains unclear to even the highest of Nyx's majesties.

This was a very fun project to complete, in a relatively short period of time!
I worked in collaboration with my dear sister when designing these little fellas. She did such a great job giving them that extra bit of personality, which I did my best to replicate in the 3D models. <3
