Fastening Systems: THREADS FOR 20MM PIPES

3D printable thread inserts for assembling and disassembling parts!

External diameter: 20mm. Fits 20mm pipes!
Inner diameter: 15mm. This goes inside the pipe.

Each "PIPE" set consists of 4 pieces: screw, nut and two pins.
You'll also find a "FLAT" set of 15mm thread length where you don't need to use dowels or pipes, but you can you it inside or in the backside of the pieces directly

They can be used for:

• Disassembling large props (swords, spears...)
• Delicate armour pieces that you want to transport separately (decorative elements on helmets, breastplates...)
• Assembling large ponytails on wigs (pigtails, buns...)
• Attaching decorative elements to wigs (horns, crowns...)
  Expand your imagination! Easily attach and detach anything with a simple twist!

How does it work?
The pieces (screw and nut) will be fixed inside two pipes, and screwed together so that the two pipes become a single block

Instructions:
Choose one of the pieces, for example, the ‘screw’:

1. Drill the pipe:
   You will see that the printed ‘screw’ piece has a hole. Place the piece next to the pipe, imitating the position it will have to have on the inside, and make a mark on the position of the hole on the outside of the pipe. Drill the pipe in the sign until the pin fits.
2. Insert the screw into the pipe (you can apply glue if you want) and match the hole of the 3d printed piece with the hole manually made in the pipe.
3. Insert the pin (you can also glue it). This way the screw won't rotate or move.

Repeat the same for the 3d printed "nut"

Rememeber! If you scale the 3d model you scale the tollerances too!
