Description

Custom-fitted 3D printable finger splint that can get wet and be resized to fit most people's uses. Includes a sizing guide to reprint and scale the splint as your finger swelling goes down.

I'm not a doctor or a medical professional; I'm just an industrial designer with a broken finger and a printer. After getting a finger splint from my doctor for a hairline fracture on my middle finger, I was disappointed by the bulky and uncomfortable options offered. I redesigned and custom-fit my own 3d printed finger splint. After dealing with swelling and regular testing, this is the best solution. Use the measurable size scale to see how big or swollen the finger is, and then scale the finger splint to match your finger. I printed them in PETG and PLA, and both worked fine. This finger splint offered me more mobility, could be used in the shower, and fit inside gloves. I regularly pushed the limits, forgetting I had a finger splint and broke one or two, but they are easy and fast to print with minimal material cost. Feel free to use a bandaid or gauze at different stages to pad or support the finger as needed. I hope this helps you as much as it did for me. Happy Printing!
