FORSAKEN REVENANTS LORE: ______________________________ Hidden from the dying light of ancient stars, the Forsaken Revenants emerge twisted and foul to act upon their neuro-hunger. The ancient tales of the Nerubicon speak little of the first attempts at mind-transference, that were conducted in their rush to save the Nyxian people from the Blight of Light. The Forsaken Revenants are the product of those early and misbegotten experiments to lend a new metal body to the mind of a Nyxian. The first of these experiments were done to the lowborn who had dug themselves deep within the Chasms of Isolar. The crude and unrefined early methods of this new science gave birth to creatures of horror too crude, too twisted and unholy to be witnessed by the Lords of the Nerubic. These early offspring of neuromancy were shunned and forsaken into the deepest dungeons of their homeworld, and thus were simply refered to as The Forsaken, in the forgotten texts. The Forsaken Revenants continued to exist, unable to starve, or die of age deep within the vast underworld complexes. They formed societies of their own, steeped in crude mockery of the Nerubicon empire. Eventually they twisted minds developed ways to escape their abyssal confinement. They developed methods of sub-dimensional travel, as an evolution to their proclivity to tunnel beneath the mantles of their homeworld. Their leaders, able to claw their way through holes in space itself, and hunt from the depths of worlds previously uncharted. Their minds - starved for millennia by sensory deprivation now seek the thrill of causing fear to mortal beings across the galaxy, in attempts to satiate their own craving, hollow souls.
