Magnetic Axe Cover

This cover fits axes with a maximum toe to heel distance of 105mm. The included design does not have any text, You can add your own using MS 3D Builder or directly from some slicers.

Ideally printed in TPU. Both sections have cavity for 20x6x1.5mm magnets that need to placed while printing. Use a M600 command to pause the print at the right layer so that the magnets can be inserted and then resume the print which will result in the magnets being printed over. Orient the magnets in such a way that when the printed parts are glued together, the magnets repel each other. That way the “pouch” remains open when there is no axe inserted. As soon as an axe head is inserted, both magnets will try to stick to it even though they were previously repelling each other.

The parts can be glued together or you can use the existing holes for pop rivets for extra strength.
