This mechanical mood lamp can be built using a E27 light bulb or an adressable LED - strip for multicolor lighting. It features a mechanical pulley mechanism, which adds the possibility to dim the lamp.
If you decide to use LEDs, you will need a strip with a length of about 60cm. (WS2812, SK6812,...)

For the lamp shade you can either use transparent or white filament, depending on how much light you want to be transmitted

Attention:
if you are using the E27 lamp version, make sure to use LED bulbs, which do not emit heat that is higher than the deformation temperature of the used filament.
