Wade Winston Wilson was a mercenary known as Deadpool, exiled to the Void. In the Void, he used the name Nicepool to distinguish himself from other Deadpools and lived with his pet, Dogpool. Unlike most of his variants, he possessed no regeneration abilities or superhuman strength; this led to his death at the hands of his own variants, when another Deadpool used him as a shield to open fire.
