Ancient Pokeball from Pokemon Legends: Arceus (Support-Free, 100% Snap-Together, Different Inserts Available, Nintendo Switch Game, Nintendo DS, Jewelry Inserts))

Timeline of Updates: 3/10/2021: Initial Upload 3/11/2021: Improved Snap-Together Pieces. Updated Hinge, Ring Bottom, Ring Top, Ball Top, and Steam Valve. 3/24/2021: New Inserts! I uploaded files for a Nintendo Switch Game Insert (2 Piece) & Jewelry Insert (3 Piece). The previous silver ring design (top & bottom) changed to accommodate the snap-in inserts (now v2). 3/25/2021: Steam Hinge with Extra Clearance Added 7/26/2021: New Files 'Ball Top (Extra Clearance)' and 'Ball Bottom (Extra Clearance)' added to help with the rings snapping into place. 3/19/2022: Completely Remade Version 2 Uploaded. The only change is the top inserts to accommodate the Heavy Ball Top. Model Description There are 2 completely different versions of this Pokeball design. Both fully snap together and both have to the ability to be used wide open or with storage inserts. Each design has its own set of tradeoffs, but in my opinion Version 2 (the newest version) is better for strength, ease of printing, and ease of assembly. Version 1: This was the first version I uploaded, and while I am still very proud of it I became painfully aware of its flaws after printing a few hundred of them. One thing I disliked about the design was that it wasn't support free. Other big issues with this version is that it can become very difficult to snap together if your settings aren't juuuuust right, specifically Z height and Extrusion/Flow. It also doesn't have the strongest hinge, or the strongest locking assembly (the latch and front notch). Its a great model, but when producing them in mass it can become a pain to print and assemble. A lot of the componenets aren't replaceable if something breaks either. Version 2: This complete remake was in response to the issues with Version 1 and there are a few big changes. First thing, the design is 100% support free, unlike Version 1 which needed supports in a few places. The hinge is also now print in place as opposed to the "snap-into-place" hinge on Version 1, which makes the ring assembly much stronger. The locking mechanism is now much stronger so very unlikely to break or come loose, but the components are also designed to be replaced easily if needed. The only major con I would say to Version 2 is that it isn't quite as "screen-accurate" as Version 1, which was the one minor sacrifice I had to make to make the necessary improvements. **This design is uploaded with a non-commercial license.
