Qidi Q2 Top Frame Riser / Glass Lid Spacer (+20mm OEM Style)

I'll add a rotating glass mounting mechanism later. A hole has been prepared for its installation, allowing for an M3 nut to be welded in. Photos of the final print will also be attached later.

This is a custom replacement top frame riser designed specifically for the Qidi Tech Q2 3D printer. It installs in place of the original factory frame but provides an additional 20mm (2 cm) of clearance.

The Problem Solved: On the stock Q2, the filament guide tube (PTFE) constantly rubs against the top glass lid during print head movements, regardless of the model height. This causes friction, noise, and wear. This riser lifts the glass lid, allowing the tube to move freely without touching the glass.

Clip-Lock System: The parts are joined together using custom ring-clips that snap over the bolt standoffs. This ensures perfect alignment.

Assembly Instruction:

Print all 4 frame parts and the connector clips.

Assemble the frame by snapping the clips onto the bolt posts to join the sections.

Tip: After connecting and aligning the parts, it is highly recommended to apply glue (Super Glue/CA or Epoxy) along the seams on the inside of the frame for maximum rigidity.

Install onto the printer replacing the original plastic frame.

⚠️ MATERIAL WARNING: The Qidi Q2 has a heated chamber. Do NOT use PLA. Use ABS or ASA to prevent the frame from warping.
