Build Your Own Rocket Drone!*

As promised, here are the files to build your very own Rocket Drone—the same high-speed FPV beast you’ve seen on my Instagram! This little drone is an exciting DIY project designed for experienced FPV hobbyists who are comfortable with fast-flying drones. If you’re new to the hobby, I’d recommend starting with a slower build before tackling this one!

Specifications:

• Frame Weight: 48g (Aero PLA)
• All-Up Weight (AWU): ~240-280g
• Battery Compatibility: Up to 650mAh 6S or 850mAh 4S (XT30 connector)
• Max Propeller Size: 3"
  -Camera Mount: 14mm
  -FC/ESC Mounts: AIO 1"x1" only
  -Motor Mounts: M2, 12mm

Printing Recommendations:
This design is optimized for easy 3D printing with common materials:

• Ideal Material: Aero PLA for optimized weight
• Alternatives: Standard PLA or PETG will also work fine
• Important: This build requires a CNC-cut carbon subframe for structural integrity. Please us the .dxf to get it cut from 4mm carbon plated. If you are Canada or US-based I can recommend CNC madness. In Europe I have worked with AHLtec.

Required Hardware:

• 2x M2x25mm screws
• 2x M2 threaded inserts

Recommended Setup:

• To get the best performance, use the following components:

Motors & ESC:

• Motors: 1408 or similar (avoid T-mount motors)
• KV Rating: 3000-3500KV on 6S
• Flight Controller/ESC: 40A AIO (e.g., HGLRC Specter)
• Props: Gemfan 3051

Video System:

• Analog: Most small VTX + 14mm nano cam
• Walksnail: Avatar HD Nano Kit V3
• DJI: O4 Lite compatibility not yet tested

GPS (Optional):

• HGLRC M100 Mini (Older BN-180 style GPS also fits)
• Tuning Recommendation: PID Tune: Set the master multiplier slider to 0.7 as a baseline

⚠️ Note: This is an advanced FPV build and not recommended for beginners. Flying a drone this fast requires some experience, but if you're up for the challenge, it’s an absolute blast!
