Nice storage boxes for hardware and small parts. They are stackable and they are very strong in compression.
The structure is inspired of industrial containers and although the walls are thin, they can take a serious load.
Two designs are included: Normal and thicker.
Normal: wall thickness is 0.8mm. Thicker: 1.2mm
Dimensions of one box: 146mm x 87mm x 45mm
Both types were tested and they can support my weight, which is roughly 200lbs. Really amazing for something that thin. If you try it, tell me in the comments if you were able to put a considerable amount of weight on it. If you have bad prints, with stringing or defects, don't throw them away before testing them! :p
It is for sure overkilled for this design, but its interesting to see how a thin piece of plastic can support this much weight!
The files are already placed in the right orientation. Just print and enjoy! Can be scaled up, but i don't recommend to scale it down.
SETTINGS:
-Print File "Partition" 2x
-Print all parts with a 0.3 layer height for faster print
-All parts with this layer should take under 6hrs to print (the whole thing, box + cover + 2 partitions)
-Use 3 walls and 10% rectilinear infill.
NOTE: If you decide to stand on it like i did, please do it carefully. Try to put a small wood board on it and wear shoes!!! I would be very sad to ear someone got hurt while doing this. 3d printing can break in sharp points sometimes, and that can be risky for your foot. So be careful and make things correctly.
Have fun!
