Description
When you're on a web-based meeting, if your camera is muted and you're AFK, no one knows! It's much better to leave your camera on so people can see the empty chair so they know if you're there, and when you come back.
But, it's also weird if you leave and all that's left of you is an empty chair! What if you were kidnapped? What if you ran away?? What if you've passed out and need help?! Let your co-workers know that your absence is expected, and you'll be back soon.
“But why not just say so in chat?” you may be asking.
Aha! That doesn't always work. Some video conferencing software only lets people see the chat history since they joined the meeting, so if you step away (sans-sign) before other people join, they won't see your note. Further, not everyone pays close attention to chat, but this approach leaves a visual message that can't be ignored otherwise.
Print out this sign (included in the .3mf as both one solid object as well as two separate ones that you can glue together) and hang it on your chair so everyone knows what's up. When you step away, people can clearly see what they might not otherwise – that you promise to be right back.
