Ingredients
- 240 g of flour
- 100 g of sugar
- 120 g of butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of almond powder
Colored Lemon Glaze Ingredients:
- 1 egg white
- 150 grams powdered sugar
- Lemon juice (adjust to taste)
- Food coloring (optional)
Preparation
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and sugar.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the softened butter, egg, and almond powder to the dry ingredients. Use your hands or a pastry cutter to mix until the dough forms a ball.
- Chill the Dough: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Roll Out Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 6 mm thickness.
- Cut Shapes: Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the dough.
- Bake: Place the shapes on a non-stick baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.

- Prepare the Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, whisking until smooth.

- Color the Glaze: Divide the glaze into separate bowls if using multiple colors. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix well.

- Set the Glaze: Allow the glaze to set for at least 30 minutes before serving or packaging.
