Description

Bring love to your kitchen this Valentine's Day with this charming Valentine Cup Cookie Cutter!

Ingredients

  • 240 g of flour
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 120 g of butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of almond powder

Colored Lemon Glaze Ingredients:

  • 1 egg white
  • 150 grams powdered sugar
  • Lemon juice (adjust to taste)
  • Food coloring (optional)

Preparation

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and sugar.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the softened butter, egg, and almond powder to the dry ingredients. Use your hands or a pastry cutter to mix until the dough forms a ball.
  3. Chill the Dough: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  4. Roll Out Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 6 mm thickness.
  5. Cut Shapes: Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the dough.
  6. Bake: Place the shapes on a non-stick baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.

For the Colored Lemon Glaze:

  1. Prepare the Glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, whisking until smooth.
  2. Add Lemon Juice: Stir in the lemon juice, adjusting to your desired taste and consistency.
  3. Color the Glaze: Divide the glaze into separate bowls if using multiple colors. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix well.
  4. Decorate the Cookies: Once the cookies are cooled, use a spoon or piping bag to apply the colored glaze over the cookies.
  5. Set the Glaze: Allow the glaze to set for at least 30 minutes before serving or packaging.

Enjoy your beautifully glazed, colorful cookies!
