Description
First of all, thank you to everyone that boosted this model and commented with suggestions. This is what makes my 3D printing journey fun.
Â
After I received a couple comments about adapting the ruler to different bases sizes, I took a shot at redesigning it. This is version 2 of the Articulated Ruler. I left the old version in as well if someone would like to print that. I added two different concepts:
This version allows you to push the base against the ruler at the correct radius. That makes placing the miniature against the ruler easier than the round version. Currently it supports 25/28/32/40[mm] bases. I think I will create an additional version that can handle 50/65/80[mm] in the future. I'm not sure if 80 mm will work, I have to do some prototyping.
Version 1 had just a random curve on the beginning section. I reverted that and made it round again. Version one is still available in 4/6/9/12 inches. Version 2 has all length between 4 and 12 inch.

Someone in the comments suggested to move the pivot point to the other side, which is exactly what I did here.

An articulated ruler with one inch sections! I'm using it for Warhammer 40k, but  this will work for any game where measuring with a tape measure might be challenging. Makes measuring around corners easy!
Â
Apply a little force to snap the articulated parts free and work the elements in a little bit by moving them back and forth.
