..or on your desk!
Ordered the magnetic levitation kit and it finally arrived!
While making a basic shell i realized the shape was kind of… familiar..
And so the ufo was born!
Made this model with ease of printing in mind, the profile is for AMS but it can easily be modified for single color or dual* color.
* with a manual filament change. Add a pause on layer 230, then swap the filament and continue!
The base units shell is not included, i just used the basic version by makerworld
“But how to assemble this small machine?”
How to:
Gather your parts. Maglev kit pieces and printed parts (with supports removed)
2. Place the coil on the bottom of the base part. (Please be careful with the two wires)
3. Add the spacer ring
4. Add the maglev kits “puck”. I try to gently maneuver the wires below the puck
5.1. Add the circuit ‘in place holder’. Be mindful of the grooves so that you wont snap the wires.
5.2 Make sure the top surface is flush(ish)
6.1. Insert the hull light part into the ufo top part.
6.2 ease the pieces together, the bottom should be flush
7. Then just place the top piece on the pre assembled base
