We’re so excited to launch our Articulated Lobster model! 🦞 Inspired by Phoebe’s iconic line from Friends—"He’s her lobster!"—this articulated lobster is the perfect way to say "You’re my forever" to someone special. Whether it’s for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or just a sweet gesture, this 3D-printed lobster makes for a unique and meaningful gift!
There are 2 print profiles for print with and without AMS. Each profile includes plates for toy, hidden magnet slot in heart-shaped claws 🧲 and keychain. For the "No AMS" print profile, eyes of the lobster are printed on a separate plate and you can glue them on the body.
The magnet version was designed to fit 4x2mm magnets, but feel free to adjust the print profile and change the size of the slot so it works for your magnet size. In general, 4x2mm should be a good size for placing the magnet inside the claws for lobsters this size. The print process will pause at the top layer of the magnet slot, then you can lower the heat bed and insert the magnets into the slots.
If you want the lobsters to hold claws side by side, ensure the magnets in all left and right claws are in same directions. (For example: left and right claws always have N on top)
If you want the lobster claws to clasp or mimic a "high five", ensure the magnets are in opposite directions for left and right claws. (For example: left claws always have N on top, right claws always has S on top.)
You can even insert an Intax photo between the claws and use lobsters as photo stand!
