Description
After re-spooling my fishing reel, I had some leftover fishing line that I wanted to keep handy. The original spool was far too large to fit in my tackle box, so I designed a smaller spool to store the excess line.
This spool is perfect for leftover line or for organizing monofilament/fluorocarbon leaders. It screws together securely with threaded ends, and the center hole is just the right size for adding a label to indicate the line's specifications. A small cutout in the design keeps the loose end of the line neatly secured.
While I don’t have an exact capacity for these spools, it will depend on the type and thickness of the line. For reference, I had 300 meters of 0.16 mm braided line put on an empty reel, and the leftover portion fit perfectly on this compact spool.
