I designed a 3D-printer enclosure based on 2 IKEA LACK tables. This design is entirely self-created, blending functionality with simplicity to meet the needs of makers who want a sleek, practical housing for their 3D printer.
To encourage creativity, I’ve included STEP files so you can easily remix and adapt the design to your preferences. I’d love to see your customized versions.

Key Features:
- Print-In-Place Hinges: The hinges are designed for seamless "print-in-place" functionality, saving time and effort during assembly. They’re optimized for use with 3mm thick plexiglass panels, which can be glued into the hinges for a secure fit.
- Liftable Enclosure: The entire enclosure can be lifted as one unit. Thanks to the adjustable table leg positions using the cones on the base, you can fine-tune the setup to suit your needs.
- 360° Accessibility: The enclosure features doors on all sides, with a wing door at the front for easy access to your 3D printer. This design ensures maximum convenience when maintaining or adjusting your printer and offers flexibility for various workspace setups.
- Universal Compatibility: Originally designed to house an Anycubic i3 Mega S, this enclosure is spacious enough to fit a variety of popular 3D printers, including the Prusa and Ender 3 models.
- Cable Management: I designed a sleeve for cable management, that can be put in the bottom of the enclosure. It makes sense to put the power supply out of the housing. Out of my experiences, it can get up to 50°C inside the enclosure.
- Filament Guidance: I added a small sleeve as filament guidance, so your filament can either be mounted on top or below the enclosure.
- Power Supply: I added 2 brackets to mount the power supply unit of your printer on the bottom side of the enclosure.
