Description
Made this medium sized (4"x4") pin-art fidget toy because I wanted thinner, longer pins than the pin art toys available and wanted it to print in 2 separate plates for easy color change/contrast without wasting a lot of print time and filament. It took a lot of testing to get this to work but the end result feels and sounds so satisfying when you play around with it.
Update 2/2/25: Updated the pin size to make sure they don't slip through the base if using different materials or printers with slightly different tolerances. Installation method is different for this version: added lifter and the pause happens near the end of the print of the pins to reduce chances of disturbing the bed adhesion during assembly and not leaving a weak spot in the middle of the pin from the pause location.
About the print itself:
*Note 1: Aux fan should be set to 0% when printing the base to prevent warping of PLA. If the base is warped, it will not go onto the pins.
**Note 2: Cleaning the plate with dish soap and water before the print can help adhesion if you have any issues.

Update 1/26/25 - Just posted a new multicolor model that uses the same base ( https://makerworld.com/en/models/1043234#profileId-1028478 ). This new model can also be used to replace broken pins or change the colors your colors.
