Gonk Droid - Star Wars

This Gonk Droid, created by DroidDivision, is a free miniature version of the rubbish bin-like droid made famous in Star Wars Ep. IV - A New Hope, when we first met him in the Jawa Sandcrawler.

 

A few tweaks have been done to this model to make it more print friendly; it's been laid out in a way that should suit all printers (including the A1 Mini), has tweaked ironing settings to make it look great when assembled, revised pegs for better assembly, and tweaked supports to ensure details are great. Infill has also been set to the latest and strongest crosshatch. To assembly, simply insert the legs, the connecting pegs, and push together. If the pegs are a little loose you can optionally use a drop of superglue to secure.

 

GNK power droids, also known as gonk droids, were an Industrial Automaton knockoff of the successful EG-6 power droid. GNK power droids were effectively power generators with legs and simple artificial intelligence so they could understand rudimentary commands. They were most commonly found on under-developed worlds that did not have an expansive power grid, or in mobile military operations.

They often made a low honking noise that sounded like the word "gonk," resulting in the nickname gonk droids or simply gonks.
