Lil Wilson's Food Bowl Riser

This is a small pet bowl riser I designed for my small pup. The riser is perfect for small breeds or puppies/cats who may struggle to reach their food or water on the ground. Experts say that the elevated design can help improve digestion and reduce strain on the neck and joints.

Added 3/20/26: By popular demand! I’ve uploaded a Base Adapter Ring so you don’t have to reprint your whole setup to get better stability. This ring adds extra surface area to the bottom of the riser—perfect for those who want to stick on some rubber feet or grip tape to keep the bowl from sliding across the kitchen floor.

Features:

• Cylinder-shaped base: 133mm x 133mm x 131.5mm
• Counterbored top: 15-degree slope to help keep the bowl in place
• Fits a 5-inch diameter bowl: 8 oz capacity
• No feet: Designed for use on a rug, but you can print the Base Adapter Ring if needed.

Customization:

• Add feet/base: The STEP file can be downloaded from Download STL/CAD Files for an editable model,  allowing designers to modify size or add a base. 
• Adjust size: You can modify the dimensions to fit different bowl sizes.
• Change the counterbore: The counterbore can be adjusted to suit your preferences based on the rim of your bowl.

• Test print: Make a test print, if you make changes to fit your bowl.

  Test Print Tip: To ensure a successful print, you can test print a section of the model in Bambu Studio. Here's how:

  1. Duplicate: Copy the object onto a new build plate.
  2. Cut: Use the "Cut" tool in the top toolbar to create a plane cut at a desired height.
  3. Delete: Remove the bottom section of the model.

  4. Print: Print the remaining top section (with counterbore) to test the fit and stability.

     This allows you to verify the counterbore depth and overall design before committing to a full print.

Print Settings:

• Material: PLA or PETG recommended
• Layer Height: 0.2mm
• Infill: 15-20%
• Supports: No supports needed

Additional Notes:

• This design is easy to print without support.
• It's a great project for beginners who want to learn 3D modeling and printing.
• Feel free to modify and improve the design to fit your needs.
