Description

I am happy to release this reusable, lightweight spool with an integrated filament clip after more than half a year of durability tests.

This spool uses only 70g of filament. So it is perfect for you if you just have bought a refill and want to use it before your last filament on the original bambu spool is finished.

The spool has an integrated filament clip in the rims of both sides. It is easy to place the filament there and to remove it again. During storage the filament is only straightened slightly so it won´t break.

Side A and B have a longer guide area so screwing them together is no big deal. There is also a guide for the RFID chip that is doesn´t get stuck within the decorative and stable pattern of the wall area.

The spool is just as strong enough as needed not more therefore it is very light. It works perfectly for refills and in the AMS. For more than 100 hours of printing and more than 5 kg of filament I didn´t experience any failure in the AMS with winding and unwinding it. If you want to use the spool for respooling other filaments to an AMS compatible one make sure to support the walls on the outside. Otherwise the spool will widen and won´t fit into the AMS anymore.

The delicate pattern on the outside demands a good bed adhesion so make sure to use a clean build plate.

A variant including a weight is also already on its way. So if you prefer this typ stay tuned.
