Description
Update 17/02/25 - I have been working on a modular and improved mount and have finally released a new version here: universal/modular A1 camera top mount - it has a much improved mounting method, a stronger arm to help with vibrations, increased clearance for the top mounted AMS Lite and the ability to mount a variety of cameras to it, including the C200 range like this one and many more.
Please check it out, print and rate it if you can, and thank you for your feedback on this one, it has helped me create the next version of this cam mount!
Â
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Â
I have re configured the mounting clamp so you don't need to use screws, there are holes for them if you want to add some more strength (M3 - 2x20mm in the bottom and 1x5mm in the top) but not essential.Â
Â
I've also rounded some edges, removed more material where not needed and added some chamfers to allow more infill/walls without adding weight, comes out at about 100g, 2g over the old one, but should be stronger.
Â
The clamp and arm are a snug fit but should slide together nicely with a little bit of a jiggle.
Â
I have removed the other print version so the new one should show for both PLA and PETG print profiles.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Â
I could not find something suitable to mount my Tapo C211 as I did not have a wall or shelf to mount it to close to the printer.
Â
From a search it should fit a variety of cameras as they use the same mount: TC70/C200/C210/C211/C220/C225, but check yourself before hand to be sure.
Â
Am just learning to design and create prints so it's a bit rough around the edges but functionally it works.
Â
To assemble first place the top arm around the top bar of your A1, then slide in the clip at the back from the left (looking at the front of the printer) - it is a snug fit but will slide together with a bit of a jiggle, there are screw holes if you want to secure it more but not essential.
Â
It clears all parts of the printer as you can see from the pictures, slide the camera power plug through the hole to keep it up out the way and out the back.
Â
It also works with the top AMS lite mount, just needs to slide over to the left a bit to clear the bracket or the spool in position 4 hits it when taking rolls on and off.
Â
In your camera app just flip the image in the settings, you get a bit of vibration visible in the camera but nothing that hinders the view.
Â
Use the print profile included for your A1, the arm has adaptive cubic infill which i think will help with the weight of the camera and the clamp has a 100% infill modifier for the screw holes for strength.
Â
Feedback, comments, reviews all welcome, if you think I can improve or change it let me know will give it a go!
