Description

This is a Valentine's Day treat container.  You can fill it with the treats they want to eat (instead of a pre-filled one that contains not enough of any of the right sweets.)  There are two versions of the bottom of this model:  The first one is ideal for smaller candies (like M&M's) whereas if you are giving them larger (or more candies), perhaps Lindt truffles, you will want to print the taller version.

I designed the container using TinkerCAD's code blocks.  The idea behind the model is that love can be irrational and the hearts increase in size according to Phi, the golden ratio.  My wife loves the irrational number Pi, so I designed this with her in mind, though I used Phi instead of Pi.

I am new to functional modeling, so I had to make a few revisions to this model to help it come apart easier.  Even so, I recommend taking the lid on and off a few times to help loosen it up without making it too loose.  This is a press fit design, so try to find a happy middle between too tight and too loose.  You could also try gently sanding it, but don't be too aggressive with the sanding because the lid could get too loose.

I recommend printing it with PLA and using grid supports if you choose to slice it yourself.  I am sure there are other materials and configurations that will work, but I have not tested them.

Any feedback you want to leave is appreciated.  And I would love to see any prints or remixes you have done, so share away.

The one file I included uses a purge object that I have not created myself.  It comes from Swiss3D, and the link is here if you want to see their creation or get the files to it: https://makerworld.com/en/models/387982?from=search#profileId-288651

My 2-year old loves it when my filament poop becomes a new Duplo block, so I want to give a shout out to Swiss3D for coming up with it.  Every other file I uploaded up top is 100% my creation, and the purge object is not needed to print my model.  If you don't want to print the Duplo block, then simply choose any other file than “Valentine's Heart Treat Container V2- Tall Version - 4COLOR with flush object.3mf”.
