Steam Locomotive 498.0 ČSD (Albatros) H0

Locomotive 498.0 called "Albatros" is the first post-war express locomotive in Czechoslovakia. It is structurally based on the 486.0 series from the 1930s and was produced in 1946–47 at the Škoda Works in Pilsen (but under the year of production 1947). The 40 units produced were intended primarily for heavy express trains on main lines as a replacement for the older 387.0 series.
