Description
This rack has a 10-inch by 10-inch (aka 254mm by 254mm) footprint. It uses all standard 10-inch rack components and its height begins at a minimum of 2U (not including the fan's height) to as high as you are comfortable making it in 1U increments. Included are 2 versions of a top-mounted stand for those who wish to place their router at the top of the rack and use the fan to help keep it cooler. I have also included a blank 1U plate so that those wishing to print their own fronts have a starting point to build from.
The rack is designed to use ¼-inch fully threaded rods at each corner. Myself, I used ¼-20 (~6.75mm) threaded rods (found here) with dome nuts at the top and regular nuts at the bottom complemented with some rubberized ‘feet’. The dome nuts, regular nuts, and rubberized feet were all sourced at my local Lowes store and are threaded ¼-20. I also printed every part from Sunlu PETG myself but I believe that PLA+ may also be suitable, but I did not have any on hand to test. The threaded rods used in the pictures provided are 12 inches long and did not need to be cut down in order to build a 5U rack with a stand on top of it. The top of the rack is designed to hold a 120mm fan (found here) and I attached a power strip with USB power ports (found here) to the back of the rack using common automotive trim adhesive tape (found here).
On a side note, the mounting holes for the fronts are not threaded but sized in such a way that a 12-24 (~4.5mm) screw will be able to screw into it tightly and firmly hold the fronts without letting go.
All the links provided above do help my bottom line without adding any additional cost to you. If enough interest is made known to me, I might make my own custom fronts also available for download (i.e. Beelink S12, HP EliteDesk G3, Linksys SE3008, & the Xiaomi Mi Box S 4K). All of my 10-inch rack mounts are available for download from MakerWorld (https://makerworld.com/en/collections/5421385-10-inch-rack-designs) with the exception of the 10-inch 12 keystone patch panel, which is Kitten 3D Enthusiastic's design and can be found here.
