The Bat Signal 2.0 (with projection)

UPDATE 21/09/2025: Minor update to reduce total number parts to help make assembly easier. Base now secured using M3 bolts, 2 clearly  labelled parts depending on chosen lighting solution and updated assembly guide.

UPDATE 12/03/2025: User taongbuhawi has added a print profile that includes some modified bat symbols, so that there is no need to glue the bat symbol to the ‘Front Grill’. You an now just clip the bat symbol on or off, making it easy to switch bat symbols.

Introduction

After designing the first version of the Bat Signal Lamp I still wasn't happy that the bat signal didn't project onto the wall. So with some minor changes to the design and a different light source I now have the Bat Signal 2.0 with projection!

Model Details

The assembly is reasonably straight forward but please follow the instructions closely as it is easy to put parts together out of order which could cause issues. Depending on how you wish to light the lamp there are two clearly labelled parts on plates 1 and 2. Please note if you wish to achieve the projection effect you will need the COB LED, resistors and USB cable listed below and the ‘Rear Section' part on plate 1 of the profile. If you wish to use the Bambu Lamp kit then print the part on plate 2 of the profile.

To finish the model I spray painted the parts with some ‘Cast Iron’ paint. Then after assembly I weathered the model with some Spanish Copper Rub N Buff.

There are numerous bat symbols out there you could use, 4 of which have been included, ‘Batman 1989’ , ‘The Dark Knight’ , ’The Batman' , and 'Batman vs Superman' movie logos.
