LOTR - Duel for Middle-Earth - Card Tray

Why Use This?

After getting Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle-earth last weekend, we've been playing it a ton. We found once we laid out the cards in one of the three layouts for the different acts, the cards were sliding around as 

we grabbed cards and it was hard to keep them lined up nicely. 

 

This tray has recessed grooves for the cards to slide into, keeping everything neat and evenly spaced. Make setup and gameplay smoother so you can focus on the battle—not on wrangling a messy card pyramid.

It's pinned together by a few dovetails in the center. I tried to be filament conscious with this, so the base is pretty thin, but it should hold up to regular play. It fits cards up to 57m wide, so it's perfect for sleeved or unsleeved cards. Be aware, 7 Wonders Duel uses different size cards, and with the Agora expansion, different layouts. I intend to make a version of this for that as well, but do not currently own the game/expansions.

Quick note about the box:

This game and its insert are a tight fit, so this will not fit without a little box lift. I'll be designing a 3D Printed Insert soon that will have slots for this, the three act decks, tokens, and other items. Once that's finished, these will fit in the box without an issue.
