I've released an updated version of this design. Please check it out!

Made this enclosure for my A1 mini since it sits inside a garage which gets dusty. The model uses plexi panels, so it comes with an additional costs, but I found it worth since it looks a bit cleaner and has the option to swap when something is broken - no huge printing. This was all printed with basic PLA.

I had 3 sizes for the panels. One for the sides, one for the front and one for the door. Below you find the measurements.

  • Thickness of the plexi panels: 3mm
  • 4x Side panels: 50 x 50 cm (500 x 500mm)
  • 1x Front panel: 50 x 50 cm (500 x 500mm) with a 35 x 35 cm (350 x 350 mm) cut out with an offset on the X-axis of 25 cm (250 mm) and Y-axis 22,5 cm (225 mm)
  • 1x Door: 30 x 30 cm (300 x 300mm)

Assembly

  • Print all the pieces you need / want
  • Put everything in place and mark the holes
  • Use an 3mm drill to make the holes. ! Use something underneath and don't use a lot a force since it can break !
  • Remount the pieces and use screws and nuts (M3) to assemble.
    • The pieces on both sides of the plexi: M3 x 12
    • The pieces only on the front: M3 x 10

I used a total of 73 screws and nuts

Screws

  • M3 x 12: 66
  • M3 x 10: 7

Nuts

  • M3: 73

I mounted the 2 handles and side holders in the center and that's something you will need to measure yourself. Same for the position of the door holder and lock.
