Note: While I have successfully printed my tray multiple times without leaks and with perfect water retention, you should still test it on a surface that cannot be damaged in case of a leak. Let it sit with water for at least 2-3 days to ensure it holds properly before use.
Please be sure to use my profile, if i use everything standard in bambu studio, my tray was not watertight.
Note for PLA : I highly recommend to print in PETG HF and not in PLA since you will probably put your seedling under grow light or direct sun. If you still want to print the in PLA, i still achieve a wathertight tray in my PLA test, Make sure to increase your filament temperature and slow down your print speed to get the best layer adhesion possible and leave other parameters in the print profile intact.
There are 2 versions, the original with 0.8mm wall and the reinforced with 1.2mm wall.
I get really good result with 0.8mm with my profile, so please use it if you use Bambulab PETG HF.
----------------------------
You wil need to use the full bed for that. If you never print on the full bed size, please check this link in the wiki. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/knowledge-sharing/print-volume-limitations
You will need to use external spool and block the filament cutter and change setting for the printer to remove the front left white corner on the build plate in bambu studio.
If you use a P1P or P1S, you can also print my little Warning Sign, so you will not forget to remove your cutter blocker after your print and will not lost your cutter blocker. :P
----------------------------
The tray and the insert are in 2 differents profile.
Unfortunatly. I can't put home-made filament setting in a profile, and i can only change settings of 1 filament type at a time (i can't put 2 different PETG HF setting) .
The tray settings have higher temperature, have a higher flow rate and a higher bed temp to reduce the warping.
The insert use the standard PETG HF Settings.
So they are in 2 differents profile. Sorry for that.
For A1 and A1 Mini users : Please be sure to have a warm room to help reduce warping.
For A1 Mini users : you “can” print the tray, but i highly recommend to add a tape to hold the build plate in place, the tray may warp and take the build plate with it, note that the tray take almost all the bed size of A1 Mini.
You can also print my A1 Mini Build Plate Clip if you want, but please note that you will have to print them in ABS or ASA to be able to print the tray in PETG.

Please don't put a bad rating if you don't get the tray to be watertight if you don't use my profile with PETG HF, I did several tests before being able to achieve no leaks, so please use my profile or don't leave bad rating for this.
Happy gardening season! 🌱😊
