Description
Update 2025/3/4
Strengthened screw holes.
Add additional structure for better rigidity.
Update noise profile image of optimized frame.
Add list of material for this build.
This is a fully 3D-printed FPV drone frame designed for freestyle and cinematic flying. Utilizing a pre-stressed structural design, it achieves an optimized noise profile, aiming for smooth flights and clean footage.
Recently I'm testing and tuning this build and potentially keep iterating the design. If you are interested, please leave your precious feedback.
Key features:
2inch 2s, wide X, prestressed structure
Light weight, frame<18g
Clean noise profile
Support Analog/DJI O4 Air Unit
O4 footage no prop in view, no jello, stabilization works
3mf file include 4 frame parts. If you want to use it with O4 air unit, you can find the camera mount here.
Print the parts and assemble as shown:
Tighten stack screws first, use motor screws to pinch the arms, then assemble all electronics, tighten the canopy screws at last.
When applying motor screws, squeeze arms together tight. Then rotate back the screw until the screw tip is flat with the arm. Add motor to the arm and tighten the screws in separated steps. Make sure the motor is not tilted and there is no gap between motor and arm.
Filament choice:I used Polymaker PET-CF for final product and it is very solid. I also used Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 for drafts, feels hard enough. Recommended: PET-CF or PA-CF. Other filament like PLA+, PETG-CF will likely work. I never tried basic PLA so I'm not sure how it will perform.
Electronics I used:
FC: NeutronRC AT32F435 4in1 AIO (Any 25.5mm AIO rated for 2s 12-20A should be good.)
Motors: RCinpower 1202.5 11500kv (mounting hole 9mm)
Props: GF 2023
VTX: DJI O4 Air Unit
