Description

Simple to print dust shoe for  65mm Spindles. The skirt is in two parts so you can remove the front half to do a bit change without having to remove the full skirt. I don't have the ability to test it on all cnc routers with 65mm spindles but It should fit most of them. The front of the dust shoe needs less than 10mm of clearance while the spacing between the spindle and the dust port is almost 25mm to accommodate even the largest z-axis clamps.

I recommend printing one copy of the main body and then 2 copies of the front/back skirt. I have one skirt with 3" bristles in it and one with 2" bristles and will just swap them as needed depending on depth of cut and length of the bit.

This is printed using the 0.20mm strength profile with 6 walls and 25% infill. I've set support with a 10% threshold angle to make sure no support is printed inside the ring where the 3" dust hose clamp slides into. There is a gap between the lower section of the main body and the clamping section to allow for compression around the spindle which does need support.

I've used the following items for assembly:

3" dust collector worm drive clamp (65mm-89mm)
16@ 8mm x 4mm magnets - Get an extra 8 for the second skirt if you want 2" and 3" skirts
2" and 3" dust brushes - McMaster-Carr PN# 7900T807 & 7900T907
