PS1 xStation cover for SCPH 5000 5001 5501 5502

I save old PlayStation consoles from landfill by replacing the broken optical drives with xStation units and a cover is the final touch. Inspired by another xStation hood that is only available to purchase, I wanted an aesthetically pleasing 3D printed mount that wasn't going to cost $25 on eBay. So I designed this one myself and am giving it away for free instead.

This cover is only compatible with Sony PlayStation 5xxx series, such as SCPH-5000, 5001, 5501, 5502, 5503, and 5552 consoles. Check out my other model for 1xxx series PS1 units.

This mount is designed to securely pop into place from the top side. Just give it a firm push to snap it in.

Post-printing notes: 

A little ultra-fine grit sanding of the back edge will smooth it out and remove the remnants of the tree supports. Because it's a light grey, there is no colour to be ruined by sanding - have at it!
