Tube Drum - Tubulum (5 Tubes)

Description
I was looking for a fun weekend diy project for the kids and I. After a quick internet search I found a cool Tube Drum (aka Tubulum) project and thought - maybe I can make a mini 3D printed version?! And so here it is, a fully 3D printable Tubulum!
This Tubulum has 5 tubes of varying length which create different notes. By using the following equation: Tube Length (in) = (13300/(2*Frequency))+(Tube Diameter/2), I adjusted the tube lengths to create the notes A1 (110Hz), A2 (220Hz), A3 (440Hz), A4 (880Hz) & A5 (1760Hz). Using the paddle, simply hit the top of the tubes to create different sounds and drum beats!
The Paddle: The paddle is on the second print plate. Once printed you'll need to glue on a high density foam (think flip flop sole or similar material) to the paddle (see pictures). You can buy self adhesive high density foam online and in many hardware stores or you can simply experiment with different material around the house to find what gives you the best sound!
Quick tip: I found that holding the Tubulum in your hands or holding it in place on a rigid surface gives the best sound quality.

Here's the link to the Instructables post by tallman1996 that inspired this creation: https://www.instructables.com/PVC-Instrument-1/ . It has tons of other great info in there if you wanted to get more details on how these cool instrument work and how they are typically built.
As always if you like the print, don't forget to rate, comment and boost!
Enjoy!
