Shorty Battery Hold Down Tray for Traxxas TRX-4

This is a Shorty Battery Tray designed for use with the Traxxas TRX-4 (R) RC rock crawler. This was originally designed for use with my TRX-4 Sport but it should work with any of the TRX-4 models that have the front battery tray or mounting points for it. From what I understand, this includes most versions of the TRX-4 except for the original Defender model. You may be able to get it to work with the Defender model if you can find fenders that have the battery tray mounting points (like the Sport and Kit fenders) and will also fit your particular body.

 

It was designed to work with a (75x34x26.5mm) Zeee brand shorty pack (linked below) but should work with any pack that has roughly the same dimensions.  I'm including two 2mm spacers to allow the use of slightly taller packs but you'll also need longer screws. 

 

Everything is held together with ordinary M3x8mm button head screws plus four flat head screws for holding the tray to the truck. If your truck came with the front tray as stock equipment, you already have the flat head screws needed.
