Description
I designed the original case with my larger bed printer in mind. I know a lot of printers can't print the larger model as is, so I challenged myself to come up with a design that wasn't just split down the middle and glued together. This model is 205mm at it's widest.
This model can certainly be glued together, but is designed to hold itself together with no fasteners. It should be pretty self explanatory, but I made a short video showing how the parts go together. https://youtu.be/QmpMK0S72iY.
The picture of the grey case is my original with no cuts, but I wanted to show how it would look with the joystick and buttons installed.
The "lid" snaps into place. The USB control board mounts to the back wall with 3mm x 6mm screws. I'm in the U.S. So the joystick is mounted with 6-32 x 5/8" cap screws and nuts. The holes for the joystick are 4mm, so anything that will fit the holes will work.
I printed at 0.2 layer height with 3 walls and 10% lines infill. Supports are minimally needed on the one side of the top where the "arms" hang out past the top.
I got the button kit from Amazon back in 2019. I assume everything will still fit, but I would chop up some of the parts to check before printing the whole thing. The link to what I bought is https://a.co/d/40M6asG
EDIT: Someone recently purchased the kit from the above link. The player and coin buttons are now the same size as the larger buttons, 30mm. I added a model of the top left section so the larger buttons will fit.
EDIT: I received a request for a model with all button holes at 24mm. I have uploaded the new model for the top right with 24mm button holes.
