Magic Vase (aka: Foo Can)

The Magic Vase can make water disappear and reappear at will. Pour water in, wave your magic wand and the water is gone.  Wave your wand again and the water returns.  The traditional name for this prop is the Foo Can, named after the magician who first developed the illusion.

There is a baffle inside the vase that allows water to pour out when tipped in the proper direction, and the water is retained when poured in another direction. Works best with small amounts of water.
