Description
A hanger for 35mm curtain rods. Designed for a simple and understated aesthetic, this can be printed in most strong and rigid filaments. Even PLA with a 50% infill has worked flawlessly for the past year.
It accommodates any wall plug that uses up to a 5mm screw with allowance for up to 9mm screw head. The actual length and diameter of the plug is up to your preference but I've had no problems with an M6/35. Be sure not to overtighten the wall screw when securing it so as to avoid crushing the structure. The curved cutout on the smaller end allows you to tighten or hammer the wall plug with a screwdriver without damaging the hanger.
There are two options. One includes a screw hole at the bottom, allowing you to secure the curtain rod and prevent lateral movement. It includes a small plug to cover up the hole. The second option, which I have used, is solid.
If you've got your printer dialed in, you can print without supports but I prefer to print it upright using snug supports. Bear in mind that printing at an angle will increase strength as it reduces the strain along the layer lines.
