Description
Have you ever had a pair of shoes or gloves soaked, and don't want to throw them in the clothes dryer? Â If you have forced air vents/registers in your home, then this system is for you!
Â
This is a reinforced register cover with threaded holes for various vent tubes. Â The tubes have holes on the sides plus a large hole at the top to help promote convection within a shoe, boot, glove, or mitten. Â 3 sizes of tubes are included: a 100mm, 150mm, and 180mm tube. Â Also included are two plugs: a full plug, and a passthrough plug. Â The passthrough plug can be used in case your HVAC loops are short, and reduce backpressure into the HVAC. Â Or it can be used for surface drying as well.
Â
UPDATE: For those who don't have heat registers in the floor, don't fret! Â I've added print profiles that include a riser that can be used with a set of fans that can be purchased separately. Â The riser is designed to work with this set of fans that be purchased at Amazon here. Â I've also included the STEP file for the riser in case you purchase different fans, and wish to adjust the base size.
Â
All parts can be printed without supports. Â Brims are recommended for the tubes. Â All print settings are tuned for the easiest printing, and best strength to withstand heat if printed with PLA. Â Profiles included are for both PLA and PETG.
