Description

Overview:

This is a miniature model of the longest sailing yacht in the word, the “Sailing Yacht A”.

In real life, this incredible yacht is 143 m long, but you can print yourself a replica which I modelled from scratch that is only about 35 cm long (14 inches). The resulting scale is ≈ 1:400

If you want to learn more about “Sailing Yacht A”, you can click HERE for nice photos and interesting facts.

PRINTING and ASSEMBLY:

- Easy to print with my fine-tuned custom print profile

- AMS recommended but not essential (only used for the “A” on the middle sail)

- Colors I used: white, grey, brown, black, blue (PLA)

- No additional parts required (only a little bit of glue)

You can find a DETAILED ASSEMBLY GUID as well as some TIPS FOR EASY SUPPORT REMOVAL in the DOCUMENT down below.

Now enjoy the building process and don't forget to show me your results, I would love to see them :)

Edit:

The new Bambu Studio 2.0 Software is absolute GARBAGE!!! There are so many bugs and it's very dissapointing to see such a bad release by BambuLab. After working with the new 2.0 Version for a few weeks I realised that the way tree support is generated changed - and it's waaay worse than in the old version. It just doesn't generate the support interface in all places, which makes the support way harder to remove. Also, the way the tree structure is generated changed for no reason at all - that's why I warn you guys in advance: The masts in this model need custom support which I handpainted in the old Bambu Studio version and tested many times to get the best results to make it easy for you. But now that the support is generated differently in the 2.0 version even with the exact same settings I can't guarantee an easy support removal anymore - you have to try yourself how good or bad the new support structure really is. My guess is that it should still work but it's probably harder to remove than before. Please say thank you to BambuLab for that amazing update ;) Let's hope that they fix this SOON.
