Magnetic Travel Pillbox (w. name)

A neat little Pillbox made for travelling or home use.

there are 2 options, 1 week or 2 weeks.

Each chamber has the first letter of the week on it.

You can add your own text to it, instructions are further down.

It has the option to add magnets but can be printed without.

Parts list:

• 1 week drawer
• 1 week holder
• 2 week holder
• Key ring 16mm (aliexpress)
• Optional: Magnets 12x3mm (aliexpress)

Instructions:

Important! If you are printing with magnets, make sure there is a pause at layer 21 on the holders. When the print pause, insert the magnets into the model, if you are printing the 2 week version, insert magnets with poles facing same direction.

Holder: layer height = 0,2 mm.

Drawer: layer height = 0,16mm
If you don't want to use magnets, just remove the pause after slicing the model in the 'Preview' tab.

Adjusting the fit:

If the drawer doesn't go into the holder, or slides to easy into it, you can easily compensate for it in bambu studio.

For my printer (p1p), -0,1 mm X-Y contour compensation on the holder was enough to make it snug.

That is also the default value I set in the print profile.

Adding a name:

In bambu studio, in the ‘prepare’ tab, click the model and in the toolbar at the top choose ‘Text shape’ (hotkey: T)

Add the text in the ‘Input text’ field and then set the angle to 90 deg and click your mouse to place it on the model.

You can always adjust afterwards under ‘Objects’ in the process bar on the left, click the text on the list and use ‘Move’ (hotkey: M).
