Description

Carvana has a really unique concept to purchase a car. They have tall towers that they call car vending machines to store and display all of their cars. The Carvana towers are easily recognizable and look so cool seeing the cars displayed hundreds of feet in the air.

I wanted to have my own Carvana tower to store my Hot Wheels cars, and I looked around for a Carvana display, but couldn't find anything. The closest thing I could find were the Menards display sets, which look awesome, but they were the wrong scale, either too big or too small for Hot Wheels. So, I decided to design my own model set at a 1:64 scale.

I took inspiration from the location pictured above which has the main car tower and three smaller building structures for the showrooms. There are two driveways for the cars to drive out on. And the tower is 7 floors tall to hold a total of 28 cars.

  • The floors press-fit into each tower, and then the towers stack up and nest onto one another. These do not need to be glued together as they can easily rest on top of each other. The opening in the middle of the tower is large enough for me to reach in and put a car onto the floor or take one out. Although, some people may have larger hands, so being able to remove the top and middle sections of the tower might help when putting the cars in or taking them out
  • Printing the tower sections use quite a bit of tree supports. I highly recommend using flush cutters to remove the supports vs. just pulling them off as there are some thin posts in the towers that could get damaged. Take your time and carefully remove the supports
  • I used super glue for the doors and hot glue for the circle signs on the roof
  • There are 2 parts to the roof. The inner roof slides into the outer part. Gluing these parts together is optional
  • An assembly guide is included
  • Extras - I found some really cool models like tables and workbenches from user @Petroslav04 on MakerWorld. They add a nice touch to the inside of the showrooms

I am very happy with this model and excited to share it with all of you, especially those that collect and play with Hot Wheels cars. Ever since I printed this model, my cars have been stored inside and I have so much fun swapping cars and displaying my favorite cars in the showroom. Feel free to reach out with any questions and have fun! Enjoy!
