Sodastream to PET drink bottle adaptor

This is a simple adaptor for your Sodastream so you can carbonate standard PET drink bottles instead of the Sodastream specific refillable ones.

 

It suits all of the newer Sodastream makers that use the push on bottle type (Quick Snap-Lock) i.e. not screw on. These include the Duo, Art, E-Terra, Terra, Spirit, One-touch, Source and Power.

 

This is handy if you want to take your sodastream drink with you but don't want to take your Sodastream bottle with you - you can simply put your reused bottle it into a recycle bin when you've finished (or better yet, bring it back home, wash and reuse it again!)

 

I believe almost all Coke, Pepsi, water etc. PET bottles have the same standardised thread throughout most countries. If it doesn't suit your particular bottles, apologies.

 

The main body should be printed in PETG for durability. The adaptor doesn't stay on the bottle after carbonating (you will reuse the original cap), and the carbonating tube doesn't touch the adaptor, so there shouldn't be much of a concern with using PETG, or even PLA (even though it is not technically “food-safe”.)

 

The o-ring needs to be printed in TPU (FLEX) and should be solid (100% infill, or 4 walls will make it solid) 95A shore hardness, or Bambu TPU for AMS is fine. If you'd rather purchase a square section o-ring, the dimensions are: 19.8mm ID, 26.7mm OD.
